Abstract
PLCs are used in many real world applications. In any industry to achieve automation PLC is the first choice. Traditional methods of bottle filling is time consuming and expensive. This method involved placing of bottles onto a conveyor belt and filling only one bottle at a time. Filling is a task that carried out by a machine which packages liquid products such as cold drinks, water or milk etc. In this paper mainly focuses on programmable logic controller used for bottle filling system as well as user-defined volume selection simultaneously. It also includes counting of number of filled bottles. The filling and counting operation takes place in a synchronised manner. The filling and counting can be done on the conveyor belt. We can decide that how much water we want to fill in the bottle and same quantity of water will be come out from the tank. It also includes user-defined filling time selection menu through which we can input desired time for filling a bottle up to a desired volume. We control the entire system by programming the PLC (Programmable logic controller). Here an Allen Bradley (AB) PLC is used to control the virtual model of bottle filling system module.
