Abstract
The 186-198Pt isotopes with proton number Z=78 and neutron numbers (n) between 108 and 120 in O (6) region were investigated. The energy level, E2 transition probabilities, the square of rotational energy and the moment of inertia (backbending curve) and the potential energy surface have been calculated within the framework using interacting boson model (IBM-1). The calculated results are compared with the most resent experimental data. Good agreement is obtained between the theoretical and experimental results for all isotopes. The contour plot of the potential energy surfaces shows that the interested nuclei are deformed and have -unstable-like characters.
