Abstract
The final goal of physics education is to provide students to be able to solve the problem. The results of the study that the mental model of the respondents did not show any ability to access, analyze, and construct knowledge in problem solving. Identifying of this mental model is an alternative evaluation in determining the appropriate learning approach.
