Abstract
An expression for Wigner function is obtained for a density matrix which is expressible in photon number state representation. The result is then applied to detect the presence of nonclassicality. A conclusion is drawn that the magnitude of most negative value of Wigner function decreases with the decrement in degree of entanglement.
