Abstract
Objective: Our study was undertaken to find if any correlation exists between levels of Anti-Mullerian (AMH), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and estradiol (E2), with the ovarian reserve. Methods: A Randomized, prospective study was conducted at Infertility Clinic, Department of Obstetrics& Gynecology, Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Hospital, Jaipur on 105 patients aged 25-40 years undergoing in-vitro fertilization (IVF) / intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) cycle from from May-Dec2010. Serum levels of hormones were determined at day 3 and ovarian follicle response was assessed on day of administration of hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin). The results were analyzed using proportions, standard deviation and chi-square test. Results: Results revealed that Serum AMH was significantly correlated (r 0.302, p0.1) and E2 (r 0.999, pgreater than0.1) were not found to have any such association with ovarian reserve in the study. Key words: AMH, FSH, estradiol, ovarian reserve, IVF.
