Abstract
Examination of seeds morphology of nineteen species of the genus Trigonella L. with light microscope and scanning electron microscope showed considerable variations in the seeds among the studied species. The different seed types are described compared based on seed characters such as shape, colour, hilum shape, position and coat pattern, then their taxonomic significance is discussed. Five groups of seeds were recognized. The studied characters indicated importance in systematic discrimination and identification of Trigonella species.
