Abstract
Ultrasonic velocity and density of non-aqueous solutions of magnesium myristate and palmitate in 60/40 chloroform-propane 1:2 diol mixture have been measured at four different temperatures. The results are discussed in terms of different theories of ultrasonic wave propagation and Jacobson’s model has been used to calculate adiabatic and molar compressibilities, intermolecular free length, solvation number, relative association, relaxation strength, molar sound velocity and other acoustic parameters in non aqueous mixture.
