Career Stage Effect on Organizational Commitment

Abstract
The basic objective of the study is to find out the effect of career stage on organizational commitment. Age is taken as career stage and Organizational Commitment contain its three dimensions I. e. Affective, Continuance and Normative Commitment. The data was collected from the teachers of University of Gujrat by using questionnaire by Meyer and Allen 1997 using 5 point Likert scale. The result indicate that Affective and Normative Commitment are significantly related to career stage whereas insignificant relationship was found between career stage and Normative Commitment and the study also shows that the older employees are more committed to their organizational as compared to their younger employees.
