Abstract
This research paper presents extensive survey on various techniques of Image Compression using both PCA and LDA. LDA utilizes the label information in finding informative projection. It is used to find a linear combination of features which characterizes or separates two or more classes of objects or events. PCA is a statistical tool, which may increase the efficiency. In the study it may come as an aspect that it can be used as a combined approach in Image Compression also.
