Abstract
Oxygen is the lifeline of variety of organisms present on the earth. It is one of the basic element that is involved in the formation of the functional unit of a living being. Various intricacies and mechanisms are there inside the organism that transports the oxygen to each and every cell of the body. Failure of oxygen to reach the brain leads to various kinds of neurodegenerative disease. Here we have discussed about the role of oxygen carrier moieties and their role in neurodegenerative diseases.
