Abstract
Parking had always been a major problem of Kolkata but with the growing of the city into a metropolitan one, the problem of car parking has exaggerated to a greater extent. In this paper, an initiative has been taken to identify the major centers of congested car parking in major hubs of Kolkata and its probable measures of suggestion to combat the issue. Primary data were collected by questioning the pedestrians, car parking staffs and traffic units. It can be concluded that provided measures are taken, the city can combat its car parking problem issue.
