Abstract
Background and Objective As infertility is rapidly becoming a major medical problems among Sudanese women, that has an impact on ovulation and menstruation and other complications, the aim of our present study to investigate the concentration and evaluate potential role of luteinizing hormone, follicle stimulating hormone and esteradiol in Sudanese infertile women, that may help and facilitate the diagnosis and flow up of this disease. Materials and Methods A prospective study included Sudanese women from Khartoum- State- Sudan, in period from March 2012 to May 2014. A total of 200 infertile Sudanese women were compared with 100 fertile women as control group, all of them were age-and weight-matched, Samples were taken after overnight fasting then serum luteinizing hormone, follicle stimulating hormone and Esteradiol levels were analyzed using ELISA technique and colorimetric methods. Results The (mean SD) of serum luteinizing hormone, follicle stimulating hormone and Esteradiol levels in an infertile Sudanese women were14.609.8IU/ml, 6.512.048IU/ml and 89.619.37 Pg/ml respectively, while that of fertile women (control group), the (mean SD) of serum luteinizing hormone, follicle stimulating hormone and Esteradiol, were 7.005.26 IU/ml, 8.133.88 IU/ml, 56.9310.3 Pg/ml respectively. Serum level of luteinizing hormone, follicle stimulating hormone and Esteradiol is significant elevated in an infertile women when compared with control group (Pless than0.05). Conclusion Patients with infertility have significant increase levels of Serum level of luteinizing hormone, follicle stimulating hormone and Esteradiol.
