Abstract
Life satisfaction among aged is an important construct in psycho-social study of ageing. In the present study is based on a sample of one hundred people 50 males and 50 females drawn from Jammu region. Sample consisted of adults living in homes with families It was planned to assess the relationship between life satisfaction and physical and mental health of old age people. Researcher used two scales to produce better results. The first one is Satisfaction with life scale (SWLS) was used to assess a persons global judgement of the life satisfaction, which is theoretically predicted to depend on a comparison of lifes circumstances to ones standards. The second scale used P. G. I Health questionnaire scale used to assess the quality of physical health and mental health in old age people. Results of the present study revealed that there is relationship between life satisfaction and physical and mental health. On applying Pearsons coefficient correlation significant relationship found in life satisfaction and physical health and mental health.
