A Study to Assess the Effectiveness of Planned Teaching Programme on Knowledge Regarding Foot Care among Diabetic Clients

Abstract
Methods An quasi experimental method with an description of research approach, the researcher conducted study in a selected hospital, among the 30 clients. Who gave consent for study and were selected through non probability convenient sampling technique. a self-administered structured knowledge questionnaire and planned teaching program used. Results To find the effectiveness of planned teaching program the t- test was applied and t value was calculated the mean post test score were significantly higher than their mean pretest score as evidenced from structured knowledge test pgreater than0.001 level of significance. The mean percentage of pretest was 7.86 and the mean percentage of posttest was 15.7. Conclusion The investigator concludes that the knowledge of the target population was significantly improved after receiving information in the form of planned teaching program on diabetic foot care. The improvement was found in all subjects irrespective of their demographic characteristics.
