Abstract
Arrhythmia is change of rate or rhythm of the heartbeat. During Arrhythmia, the heart can either beat, too fast (Tachycardia), too slow (Bradycardia), or with an irregular rhythm. It is a case in which heart loses its natural rhythm of synchronous beating, which is both, painful and fatal at times. Thus, a simple device used as a training system for medical staff to treat patients in a better way is made. The purpose of this study is to construct a basic arrhythmia detector, considering ECG waveform coming from database that can detect and identify different types of basic arrhythmias. Comparison and analysis of the standard normal ECG pattern with abnormal ECG pattern (input from patient) is done, to detect different types of Arrhythmias. In this work, Lab VIEW is used as a tool for modelling and analysis. The system also has features of monitoring transmitting as well as limits setting for certain parameters.
