Abstract
This paper mainly deals with the design of a TOPSIS technique for order preference by similarity to an ideal solution. This multiple criteria method identifies the solution from a finite set of alternatives. The basic principle is that the chosen alternative should have the shortest distance from the positive ideal solution and farthest distance from the negative ideal solution. This paper analyzes the newspaper reading habits of college students using multicriteria decision making problems with interval data.
