Abstract
A simple way to grow high quality single crystals of pure and mixed alkali halides synthesized from Czochralski-Kyropoulous method. The grown crystals are characterized by adopting usual practices along with a supporting experiment on electron injection to producing F- color center. The effect of doping concentration of KBr in stressed KCl matrix analyzed by estimating the activation energy. The indigenously built system with standard automation evolved satisfactory results.
