Abstract
The city of Tirana has undergone a series of changes in its urban tissue in the last century. This was due to a paradigmatic shift between different political rules, main historical events, culture and economic stability, etc. Since the establishment of the city as a capital in 1920, the urban block, and especially the arragnement of spaces inside this blocks, have been everchanging. This study explores some of the characteristics of the urban block between 1920 and 1960, with focus on the 50 vjetori complex.
