A healthy environment is fundamental to life, and attention to the effects of the environment on human health is essential if we are to achieve the goal of health for all. This study was done to assess the effectiveness of hazards of plastic waste and its safe disposal in Adults.50 subjects were selected by using convenient sampling technique. The findings revealed that the mean pretest score was 5.4 and the posttest mean score was 16.4 and the knowledge improvement score was 10 (t=13.8 at pless than0.001level). The effectiveness of structured teaching programme was statistically tested by paired test and the result was found to be statistically significant at Pless than 0.001 level.
