Abstract
Densities () and Viscosities () of Binary mixtures of Methyl Acrylate (MA) with Alkoxy Ethanols [2-Methoxy Ethanol (2ME), 2-Ethoxy Ethanol (2EE), 2-Butoxy Ethanol (2BE), 2- (2-Methoxy Ethoxy) Ethanol (22MEE), 2- (2-Ethoxy Ethoxy) Ethanol (22EEE), 2- (2-Butoxy Ethoxy) Ethanol (22BEE)] have been measured at 308.15K. These measured data have been utilised to calculate excess molar volumes (VE), Excess Viscosity (E), excess Gibbs free energy for activation of viscous flow (G*E). The viscosity data were correlated with the Gruenberg-Nissan equations. The values of these excess functions are fitted to the Redlich Kister equation. The results were discussed in terms of the existence of intermolecular interactions between the components in the liquid mixtures.
