Abstract
Hypertension is estimated to cause 7.5 million deaths, about 12.8 % of the total of all deaths. Several epidemiological studies have identified obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) as a risk factor for systemic hypertension. The prevalence is found to be more in developed and in developing countries. India being a fast developing country has prevalence of OSA also rising. AIM The aim of the study is identify people with risk of OSA and assess the prevalence of hypertension among them.
