Abstract
As we know that various images are stored over different locations on network. Content Based Image Retrieval (CBIR) System retrieves the images according to the contents or features of the images such as color, texture and shape of image. So, for retrieving the images over network we review the mobile agent technology. Mobile agents are the software programs having the ability of migrating freely over the network. They collect the desired information by crawling over the network and returns back to the user with desired results. So, in this paper we are presenting these two technology i. e. CBIR and mobile agents for retrieving images over network.
