Abstract
This article describes methodical recommendations for the use of fiction in English lessons. Through reading, a person's visual perception turns on. The role of various sensations actually changes. Visual perception of information and the process of information flow provide a more reliable preservation of images than auditory, since the reader has the ability to regulate and control this process. When reading, a person not only sees the text, but also speaks it out to himself and at the same time, as it were, hears himself from the outside.
