Abstract
Face Recognition is one of the most prominent recognition methods to give authentication to an individual. Since the face is the most important Identification feature of a human being, the Face biometric trait plays a key role in recognition of an individual. This paper contributes an efficient algorithm for the recognition of Individuals using Face biometric. The proposed algorithm captures the face features using Harris, SIFT, and SURF techniques from a preprocessed face image. The Linear Discriminant Analysis is used for dimension reduction of the Face features. The Nearest Neighbor classifier is used for matching and performance is analyzed by measuring TSR, FRR, FAR, and EER values for JAFFE and ORL databases.
