Abstract
Fly ash, a waste by-product is generated abundantly by combustion of coal in thermal power plant. The percentage variation of fly ash plays an important role in the enhancement of mechanical properties of glass fiber reinforced epoxy composite. The present study deals with the effect of percentage variation filler contents on composites. As per ASTM D 3039 the CAD model is designed and three different specimens of various filler contents (10%, 30%, and 40%) and one pure composite specimen were numerically analyzed on ANSYS 16.0. It was found that the pure composite material enhanced the more strength.
