Abstract
Taking simple two body potential ? = -A r -n +B exp (-Pr m), strength and stability of copper are estimated in case of two directional stresses. Computed values of theoretical strength of copper is 1.62GPa (tensile strength) and ? 85.83GPa (compressive strength). We compare our results with calculated results of other workers. Second phase found in tension
