Abstract
Bangladesh is to sustain the present index in gross national income, human assets and economic vulnerability to qualify to leave Least Developed Countries (LDC) bloc. To accomplish the tough task, in context of depleting affordable prime energy source (natural gas) with surge in demand, leading to import of costly fuel and loss of preferential export benefit (additional tax) on its export, Bangladesh is to facilitate its export oriented industries with affordable and clean energy source to sustain market competency. This paper deals with low cost technologies applicable to achieve affordable and reliable energy options for industrial sector in electricity & steam generation and gas production for Kiln/Furnace operation.
