Abstract
A wide range of testing techniques are usually applied in industry to different materials in order to determine their fitness for use. Testing of composite materials present a certain challenge as they are non-homogenous and anisotropic materials. This paper covers several non-destructive testing methods and the common defects that can occur accidentally in composite materials either during manufacturing processes or in the course of the normal service life of the component.
