Abstract
In this study the prepared activated carbon made from olive stones (AC) was used as an alternative, available, low cost, and friendly material in removal of a congo red dye (CR) from wastewater. Obtained results indicate nice fitting to Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms and represented an efficient removal of CR by AC in a short time at normal conditions, also the reaction process clearly follows a pseudo-second order model.
