«Синтаксис експліцитної модальності» («Syntaxe de la modalité explicite»)

Article "Syntax of explicit modality" ("Syntax de la modalité explicite") (1942) occupies a prominent place in the scientific legacy of the prominent Swiss linguist Charles Balley (1865–1947). It develops the scientist's views on sentence structure and category modalities set out by him in the work "General and French Linguistics" ("Linguistique générale et linguistique française ») (1932). The theoretical richness and breadth of the formulated tasks determines the relevance of this relatively small work today, about which, in particular, indicates the frequency of access to it. Its role is especially significant - about what referred to in the publication "Article by Charles Bally‟ Syntaxe de la modalité explicite ("Syntax of explicit modality ”) and modern linguistics”, published in the same issue of the journal, to study the category of modality.
