Abstract
The development of an innovative economy ensures an increase in the level of competitiveness of the state in modern conditions. The article analyzes the foundations, conditions and tasks of the formation of an innovation system in the Donetsk People's Republic. The possibilities of using foresight technologies in determining the promising directions of development of the Republic are also considered.
