Abstract
The authors examine topical issues of selecting local structures in urgent search drilling for oil and gas. With incomplete information about local facilities the method of fuzzy pattern recognition is recommended. An algorithm and software implementation of consistent procedures for peer assessment of prospects for petroleum productivity of local structures in the region are described. It is noted that the developed computer technology can provide storage, preservation and reproduction of objective geological information, and, above all, allow to make an effective management decision as to priorities of search drilling in the region.
