Citizens' quality of life and the conceptual relationship with smart cities: A literature review

Abstract
By 2050 about 80% of the world's population will live in cities. This is a scenario that worries planners and managers in the search for solutions capable of improving cities and citizens' quality of life. Smart cities have the potential to achieve ideal conditions for housing, health, education, environment, economy, service infrastructure and information with quality of life. This study aims to identify the conceptual relationship between smart cities and citizens' quality of life. The study analyzed 16 scientific journals relevant to the research objective. Twelve key concepts were found that demonstrate the way to relate a smart city and citizens' quality of life. This research is a literature review where three stages were adopted to describe the direction that the research directed.
