Auto Transport in the Context of Formation of Structure of National Economy

The article summarizes the actual bases of the study of motor transport in the economic field of knowledge. Among the research focal points of the complex nature, the relevance of the consideration of motor transport: as an indicator of social and economic development of the country; its role in the formation of macroeconomic indicators and economic indicators of regional development; its importance for the development of other types of economic activity, etc. The relevance of the study of motor transport in the structure of the national economy, which influences its specialization, has been singled out. The content of the concepts of "structure" and "national economy" is determined. The peculiarities of consideration of the place of motor transport in the economy have been substantiated, depending on the structural criterion - sectoral, territorial, technological. In the sectoral structure of the economy, road transport should be considered for: the value of the sphere in terms of GDP, airborne activity, business activity; causing structural changes and transformations of the national economy; intersectoral and intersectoral interactions. The territorial structure of the economy updates the consideration of road transport from the point of view: its importance in terms of GRP, business activity; causing structural changes and transformations of a regional, local economy; interterritorial motor transport streams; interterritorial disproportions on indicators of development of the sphere. The technological structure of the economy allows determining the impact of road transport on: indicators of innovation activity; research and development work, the results of which are implemented in the sphere; formation of new technological methods. The types of economic activity forming the sphere of automobile transport according to the CES-2010 have been systematized. Their distribution at the level has been carried out: types of economic activity, providing transport services (transportation); related types of economic activity of the first level (areas of provision of transport services by other modes of transport); adjacent types of economic activity of the second level (production of motor vehicles, their repair and logistics, loading and unloading works, packaging, types of economic activities that provide competitive positions of the sphere (financial, information software, provision, research and development); basic industries that form demand for transport services (industry, agriculture, trade, tourism).
