Abstract

The article deals with the concept of information technologies and their classification. The characteristic of new information technologies has been provided, its specificity has been determined their. The list of information technologies with the greatest use in the training of future professionals in higher education has been given. The modern world civilized community is based mainly on information and telecommunication technologies, under the influence of which a new structure is formed - the information society. These changes primarily concern the education system and are one of the most important means of implementing a new state educational paradigm aimed at creating the most favorable conditions for self-development of the individual. Information technology in today's environment has the most important positive impact on the education sector, as it opens wide opportunities for the introduction of new teaching and learning methods. The purpose of the publication is to determine the essence of "information technology", which is most widely used in higher education institutions and to indicate the means of their implementation in the educational process of universities. According to the overwhelming majority of scientists, the use of information technologies in universities is scientifically grounded in terms of pedagogy and psychology, allows to achieve the intensification of all components of the educational process, the optimization of teaching methods and the active use of open education network technologies. On this basis, the role of information technology can be defined as follows: intensification of the educational process and improvement of its efficiency by processing larger amounts of educational information; development of cognitive activity, increasing interest in computer science courses; providing the feedback needed to manage the learning process; conducting systematic control of knowledge, skills and competences with the help of information technologies; improving the forms and methods of organizing students independent work; individualization of the learning process.
