Abstract

The article deals with the problem of school anxiety in the context of the development of students' intelligence. There is a strong reverse relationship between the anxiety and intelligence of junior pupils and their determination relation that is checked with the help of methods of mathematical statistics, namely: correlation and regression analysis, fixations of manifestations of the anxiety of young children school age. The role of high anxiety of children of junior school age in the formation of many school difficulties, which determine the formation of various negative psychological changes, has been analyzed. Methods of study: Anxiety Scale (children's anxiety test E. Amen); Scale of obvious anxiety (adaptation G. Parishioners); Scale of general anxiety in school (B. Philips methodology). To confirm the experimental assumption, the method of linear regression equations has been used. It has been proved that the important aspect of successful study at the school is the good development of verbal intelligence. The main function of non-verbal thinking is spatial representation and visual images. It is important that the verbal and nonverbal intelligence are closely interconnected. In the course of the study, it has been confirmed that the high level of anxiety prevents the harmonious development of the intelligence of the child of the junior school age. Using the methods of mathematical statistics, a close relationship has been established between the indicators of intelligence, school failure and increased anxiety of the student. There is, therefore, a need for psycho-corrective measures to enhance the cognitive processes of junior pupils and create an optimal emotional environment for the education and the life of children. One of the most important consequences of increased anxiety in children is to reduce their intellectual capacity. That is why it necessary to construct a correction-development program for overcoming anxiety and eliminating its causes in early school-age children. As a result of the study, it has been confirmed that the high level of anxiety interferes with the harmonious development of the intellect of a child of junior school age.
