The impact of the merger on the profitability of Jordanian banks The study aimed to identify merge impact on Jordanian banks profitability. The study used the descriptive analytical approach through using the questionnaire which was distributed to a sample of employees in Jordanian banks amounteing (150) employee., The study concluded that there is statistically significant impact at (α= 0.05 ) of merge on banking financial performance , profitability ratio and liquidity ratio. The study recommended that there is for small banks to merge to form large banking units to be competitive regionally and globally, and also recommends that the central bank has to set measures that encourage small banks for mergeing and to provide the proper right climate and to grant banks some incentives to merge.
