Use of traditions of native land in breeding civil qualities of children of senior pre-school age

Abstract

It has been determined in the article that the problem of education of a person as a citizen was always actual, but in the conditions of development of Ukrainian statehood is of extreme topicality. It is indicated in the main government documents. The research of scientists on the given problem in various aspects has been analyzed. The different approaches to the interpretation of the concept of "tradition" have been revealed. The basic structural components of national culture that are accessible to preschool children such as oral folk art, music and songs, folk games, folk art and crafts have been determined. It is stated that starting to educate civic qualities is necessary from early childhood, and this will be helped by folk traditions, folk songs and history from various sources, which are the best means of educating a citizen, enabling to cover almost all basic civilian qualities. To begin the formation of civic qualities for familiarizing children of preschool age with the immediate environment. Therefore, the traditions of everyday life has been chosen as the first component. There are such means as the traditional interior of the dwelling, life and festive outfits.The folk toys have their own pedagogical, artistic and technical traditions. The originality and uniqueness of a folk toy is determined by its national originality, reflecting the culture and everyday life of the people, symbolizing certain customary-traditional features. Due to this, the Ukrainian folk toy is an optimal means for forming elements of civilian qualities. It is interesting to study folk clothes with children of the senior preschool age. A wreath was considered an integral part of Ukraine's clothing. Using folk costumes in work with children of the senior preschool age helps to deepen knowledge about the culture of the native land, enhances the emotional connection of the child with the past, creates the basis for the formation of patriotic feelings.It has been proved that only in the process of activity the child learns the cultural heritage of the people, and thus is formed as a person. Therefore, among the great variety of folk crafts the following have been chosen: embroidery, pottery, woodworking, weaving, easel painting. It has been indicated that it is necessary to provide the opportunity to apply the acquired knowledge in practical and creative activity. The original pysanka (Easter eggs) ornaments bear the ancient symbols of nature, united with the traditions of the past. Painting Easter eggs, interest in the arts and crafts of Ukraine is raised, concentration, the desire to put part of their work into Ukrainian traditions. Traditional crafts and handicrafts have great educational potential. The teacher must not only enrich the presentation of preschoolers about the crafts of his native land, but also reveal the emotional and value attitude to work, which will contribute to the formation of such civic qualities as mutual respect, diligence, respect for customs and traditions, patience. It has been determined that the main influence on the formation of civilian qualities are such components as traditional dwelling, folk clothes, folk toys, traditional crafts, historical past of the native land and traditional folk festivals and ceremonies. The comprehensive involvement of the native land traditions in the process of education provides the basis for the formation of basic civic qualities in children of the senior preschool age.
