Ethno cultural competence of future teacher of music art: essence and content

Abstract
The analysis of the notion "Ethno-cultural competence" from the viewpoint of the theory and methodology of professional education has been presented in the article. The problem of the research is closely connected with the theory and methodology of the future teacher of musical art professional training, which requires further study of the notions "competence", "ethno-culture", and "ethno-cultural competence" as well as their correlation. To reveal the essence of the ethno-cultural competence of the future teacher of musical art, the author analyses prominent scientific works in the field of pedagogy, psychology, ethnology and cultural studies. The article presents a brief analysis of the views of the following scholars as: N. Bibik, G. Lozko, T. Dyatlenko, T. Fopel, Y. Bromley, A. Pankin, A. Lesnevskaya, O. Khoruzha, V. Nikolaeva, V. Krysko. The competence is considered by modern specialists in the field of pedagogy and psychology as possessing the relevant knowledge and skills allowing a person to judge substantially about the particular field of activity and efficiently act in it. The ethno-cultural phenomenon includes identity, mentality of peculiar people with specific socio-psychic components, which enables to observe their own, different from the other ethnic groups, systems of values and can be characterized by appropriate ethno-thinking and ethno-consciousness. Taking into account the peculiar feature of a multi-ethnic region as Transcarpathia, in which the majority of the children are brought up in families of mixed ethnic composition, the worldview and national consciousness of which reflect the combination of two, three or even four ethnic cultures, the solution of urgent task, that the author has brought to the fore, – a university training of the future teacher of musical art – the formation of the integral feature of the future specialist, enabling to perceive the specific features of multi-ethnic dimension, Ukrainian mentality, that are reflected in the artistic works of different genres of musical art. The integral feature of the future teacher of musical art has been determined by the author as ethno-cultural competence. It is revealed in the presence of: a) the knowledge of the Ukrainians' national character peculiarities; b) the ability to allocate specifically Ukrainian features in the artistic content; c) the systems of values for identifying the features of a devotee and educator of his native people's musical culture.
