Abstract
Theoretical analysis of the problem of external and internal in the psychic world of personality is carried out in the article. It is determined that the opposition "external – internal" is extrapolated to the issues of psychosocial development. Various approaches to the understanding of "external" and "internal" are analyzed. The theoretical analysis of two basic coordinates "stability" and "change" - are carried out, the relation with spatiotemporal coordinates of the person's being in terms of "external" and "internal" is realized. Historical, objective "external" time of human life is complemented by personal or psychological subjective, internal time. The fact of "merging" of personality and environment, on the basis of psychology of the environment, which studies the interrelations between environment variables and various psychological characteristics of a person, its behavior, is revealed and analyzed. The concept of personality is discovered through the place it occupies in the social world, in society, through the system of relationships. It is noted that the fundamental dichotomy of the internal and external is permanently inherent in the psyche of the subject, between the external and the internal there are complex networks of interconnections, which are often simply not realized by the subject, since the process of their formation took place in an inexperienced way.
