The peculiarities of foreign language competence formation in the education of adults

Abstract
Modern society shows a tendency to unification of their experience to make the functioning of the individual in it more comfortable and efficient. The changes taking place in the world, produced the development of production technology, communication, interaction with the environment. Forming new habits - is the key to success, both professional and everyday life. Foreign language competence is a key access to information that is updated daily in terms of change and discovery. The main barriers to the formation of new skills in adults is the lack of an integrated training system that would be based on the principle of matching physical and psychological characteristics of student to the teaching methodology. The lack of a unified database of adult education, fragmented studied concepts led to the fact that today there is no consensus about which student should be classified as an "adult"; how effective are the method of secondary education if applied to professionally formed person; what is the role of a teacher in this process. The article is aimed at presenting clear vision of the term "andragogue", characteristics of adult conscious comprehension, principles of teaching the adults. Turn to history, analysis of the ideas of those who stood at the origins of the adult education theory formation enables understanding of trends and categories, allows the creation of new concepts and principles. Helping the learner diagnose their needs, planning the activities that would produce the desired effect, creating the conditions, selecting the most effective methods, providing human and material resources that will help to learn, measure the outcomes of the learning experience, to satisfy needs and goals had been described by Knowles as the main andragogue's activity.
