Abstract
The article clarifies peculiarities of theoretical and practical training of teachers of pre-school educational institutions on the ground of women's teachers' seminaries operating in Transcarpathia in Austrian-Hungarian times in the last end of XIX - early XX century. It also analyzes experience of pre-school teachers training during their full-time studies in seminaries when qualifications of a pre-school teacher could be obtained alongside with qualifications of a people's teacher while studying at teachers' seminaries. Materials, which explain contents of curricula, kinds of pedagogical practicum, have been studied. Valuable components of historical experience, which are worth applying in modern conditions of reformation of higher pedagogical education in Ukraine, were defined.
