Abstract

Professional Education in Brazil has been constituted, in the last decades, as a significant epistemic field in the production of knowledge, being investigated by researchers from all regions of the country. With this, this research focuses on systematizing and describing the academic production on the continuing education of undergraduate teachers working in Professional Education, for that, we used the articles from the CAPES Portal as a basis, the survey was carried out on 03 August 2019. We use an intrinsic methodological path to produce an exploratory and descriptive state of knowledge. From the full reading of the text of the 05 categorized surveys, a qualitative and quantitative analysis was made. Initially, working with three categories, namely: continuing education, licensed teachers and professional education, in isolation, then articulating, two by two, using the bolleano operator and, and, finally, the combination of the three descriptors, connected by and, reaching those who approached our objectof study. The mapping confirmed what we had already seen in our experiences in teaching and research on the subject. That much is said, researched and written about the pedagogical practice of the technologist and bachelor's professors, and in return, it forgets to investigate the practices, the conceptions, the possibilities and the prospects of continuing education for professors with degrees in Professional Education.
