Abstract
Interrelation between production and consumption is considered from the point of view of theoretical concepts of ?consumer society?. The reasons for the formation of phenomena in the system of economic relations in modern society are analyzed. The basic methodological approaches to the study of consumer society are showed. Interdependence of human spiritual development and modern consumer society development is pointed out.
