Abstract
The amount of production of metallurgical raw material by mining and processing plants in Ukraine and related environmental intervention reflecting the social consequences of the use of natural resources are analyzed. Mills do not adequately introduce the environmental measures and ecological support of the field exploitation processes. To evaluate their efficiency, the index of economic equilibrium showing the correlation of the enterprise expenditures on measures preventing and eliminating the environmental intervention is offered.
