Abstract
The present research investigates the film posters of feature films directed by famous American- Indian film maker, Mira Nair from 1988 to 2016 through a semiotic analysis of the design elements, colour schemes, visual aspect, the narrative overtures, and ideological import. It aims to study the relationship of the posters to the films as cultural artifacts and situate it in the broader social and historicalrubric.
