Abstract
The current study aims to reveal the mural design standards from the viewpoint of plastic artists. The researchers uses the descriptive method; through the study tool (polling questionnaire), to which (335) plastic artists responded. Among the most prominent results of the study is that (50) standards are built for contemporary mural design. Most of the criteria achieved an agreement of "strongly agree" exceeding (50%) on (45) criteria out of (50) criteria, meaning only five criteria were between (48.3% - 40.3%). However, these same five criteria achieved more than (70%) when collecting the outcome of "strongly agree" with "agree", and this means that there is general agreement among the study sample about these fifty criteria. In addition, the standard most agreed upon in the opinion of (275) artists out of the (335) sample of the study is: (obtaining the permission of the property owner for the wall on which the mural will be placed), where (81.6%) of the total study sample strongly agreed. The study also concluds with a number of proposals and recommendations.
