Abstract
The work considers the essence of the main scenarios for forecasting the socio-economic development of the region. Their main characteristics are analyzed and the peculiarities of their application in the current activities of the country's regions are highlighted. The factors influencing the scenarios are determined and the mechanisms of their implementation in the development of regional programs are substantiated.
