Abstract
The purpose of this study was to identify and investigate the situation of land use planning in women's sports in Islamic Republic of Iran. The research methodology was descriptive and comparative. That is, first, using the reports of the Ministry of Sports and Youth and the state’s Department of sports in Iran, the priorities of sports in the provinces were identified, then using the information related to the members of the national team between 2013 and 2018, the land use planning status was analyzed. Data collection was done by a checklist of Sports priority and the population was all provinces of Islamic Republic of Iran, the sample was equal to the statistical population. Data analysis performed using descriptive statistics and pie charts. Findings showed: Women's sports need a more serious approach toward athletic sports. For example, in the highest number events discipline such as track & field athletic, there is no significant match between national team members and provincial planning of women's sports, which is the case in most disciplines. But the situation was a little better in another highest number of events sport rowing discipline. In the case of team disciplines, one of the biggest drawbacks was the lack of attention to the issue of club management in organizing the land use planning of women's team disciplines.
