Abstract
In this paper, the concept related to the music connections is presented. It concerns a detailed analysis of the creative processes related to music composition. An innovative geometrical-based approach aimed to trace, analyze and understand the melodic and harmonic music processes has been introduced. In particular, the connections graph representing the geometry of the harmonic space which includes all the potential music paradigms and sonorities is presented. This diagram allows to map and analyze the human composition processes by observing its geometric superposed trajectories. An interactive software application tool (via hardware connected to the instrument of each musician) has been made in order to determine and handle the melodic and harmonic connections. The present application can be employed to view and analyze the music transient passages along with a song or improvisation through geometrical figures. The present application provides a real-time view of the flow of sound pathways through the music network which is constantly expanding. Its shape and size depend on the musician's subjective knowledge.
